Monument 1
Architect: Zaha Hadid
Concept: Fluid Forms and Spaces within Forms
The concept places a heavy emphasis on the interior space of "forms" and how it flows smoothly from one space to another. In my monument inspired by Zaha Hadid's concept, th fluidity is represented through the connection of each prism. Detailed elements within the space e.g. the roof pattern and the shadow cast, the miniature monument and the benches also emulate the fluidity of forms, within forms.
Monument 2
Architect: Norma Merrick Sklarek
Concept: Subtraction of Geometrical Forms
This concept reflects Norma Merricks Sklarek's designs, often being angular with blunt indented areas seemingly having been "cut" out from. Thus the concept "Subtraction of geometrical forms". The original axonometric which stemmed from this concept was too basic, so the design was developed to place a more heavy emphasis of the subtraction of geometric forms. To achieve this, large prisms were stacked on top of each other to accentuate each individual shape, and was further developed to create a model which monumentalises the concept and the architect.

The subtraction and addition of geometrical shapes aspect, is represented through the continual use of rectangular prisms of varying sizes, emphasizing the angular and geometrical aspect of each prism used. Fluidity is present through the overall placement of the models, the continuous waterfall as well as the continuous placement of the prisms within each monument. This image above and below is an overall view of the two monuments and the meeting place in the middle sitting over the waterfall. | Image taken at 12am. Monument 2 features a glass box area which enables persons inside to view the landscape as well as the waterfall beneath. This experience of being within a box yet having the freedom of 360 degree views emphasizing the electroliquid aggregation. | Image of Monument 1. The ceiling to the right during 11am - 1pm casts a shadow which demonstrates the "fluid forms... within forms". To the left are 2 benches within the box which enable persons to sit and enjoy the landscape on both sides. At night, there is a light behind the bench which cast fluid shadows similar to the ceiling. There is also a miniature monument within the monument (to the right) emulating the concept. |

| Image of Monument 2. The viewing glass box can be seen. In one of the rectangular prisms, the ceiling casts square-shaped shadows that emphasis the geometrical quality of the monument. |

| Image of the meeting space. The meeting space features a glass viewing panel on the bottom enabling a view of the waterfall below and creating a sense of connection between the landscape and the person walking across. (Note: for those less adventurous there are solid walkways either side) |
